Three years ago Brightling Park hosted the inaugural Walled Garden Music Festival, a three-day family-friendly event with a chilled and relaxed feel to it. Summer 2018 will host another foot-stomping mix of pop, rock, folk, country, americana, funk and soul – with the addition of an Acoustic Tent this year too.
Sitting in the heart of Brightling Park in the Walled Gardens, the amazing natural ampitheatre makes this event truly special – and you will always have a perfect view of the acts performing. “Fab” Friday sees The Bootleg Beatles headline at 9.30pm, supported by Brighton band Noble Jacks and London’s country rock goup The Rockingbirds. The incredible Chris Difford (co-founder of Squeeze) opens the festival at 4.00pm with Arcelia. Saturday is a real family day out – with tribute bands Abba Revival, Jive Talkin’ and Call Me Blondie setting us up for an explosive evening finale (tba). And Folk Sunday bring together some of the very best musicians around – with Stick In The Wheel starting everything off at 1.00pm. The day includes Alan Tyler, Worry Dolls, Emily Barker and Sound Of The Sirens. Two other massive names in the folk world are playing in the evening to bring the festival to a close and will be announced shortly.
